I’m a designer, writer, illustrator, and photographer based in Winchester. My practice is guided by simplicity and integrity, grounded in the belief that design should be honest, functional, and warmly tactile.

By gently uncovering a client's vision, I shape their story into meaningful design that quietly endures. Whether crafting brand identities, creating nuanced illustrations, capturing photography filled with feeling, or thoughtfully designing packaging and digital experiences,

Biography

A considered approach to brand design.

Laura Brown’s work is guided by clarity, thoughtfulness, and purpose. Her journey began at Winchester School of Art before studying Visual Communication at the University of Brighton. She sharpened her eye for trends and strategy at The Future Laboratory in Spitalfields, refined her craft at the Financial Times, and later led marketing at The School of Life—immersing herself in the power of ideas and human connection.

Since 2017, Laura has worked independently, collaborating with small to medium-sized businesses to craft brands that inspire, engage, and endure.

At Laura Brown Studio, every project is approached thoughtfully and personally. As an independent designer, I work closely with clients, free from unnecessary layers—offering direct dialogue, genuine understanding, and meticulous attention from start to finish.

The studio remains deliberately lean and adaptive, bringing in trusted writers, illustrators, or photographers as projects require. Whether alone or alongside carefully chosen collaborators, the aim stays constant: to create brands that resonate deeply, clearly, and meaningfully.
