Sometimes, the richest stories grow quietly beneath the surface. Much like blooms awaiting their moment, meaningful brands flourish with time and care. This past year, we had the privilege of nurturing such a story alongside Julie of Madge & Ivy Flowers—one as layered, vibrant, and personal as her gardens themselves.
A Legacy, Handwritten
Julie’s vision honours two generations of flower growers—her grandmothers, Madge and Ivy. Drawing from their story, we crafted an organic, handwritten logo inspired by vintage seed packets of the 1930s, evoking heritage with subtle elegance. It became the gentle cornerstone of the brand, timelessly rooted in family tradition.
Crafting a Digital Garden
The new website is an intimate space, blending family photos with lush images of Julie’s floral arrangements. Moments spanning generations quietly unfold across pages, honouring a legacy in gardening and a dedication to sustainable floristry. Every detail—from graceful typography to gentle visual transitions—echoes Julie’s ethos, thoughtfully inviting visitors to explore her world.
An Intentional Collaboration
More than design, this project was a conversation—a careful exchange of values and aesthetics. Together, we ensured Julie’s voice remained central, quietly celebrating her story and the delicate wonder of her craft.
