Roadside Flowers
Website Design & Digital Narrative

Beauty often hides quietly by the roadside, unnoticed yet extraordinary. Roadside Flowers, a collaboration between Isobel Hector and Laura Brown, honours these hidden botanicals, giving voice and visibility to flora that flourish unnoticed around us.

The website, designed by Laura Brown Studio, embodies this ethos in every detail—minimalist yet quietly expressive, echoing the purity of flowers in their untouched state. Negative space breathes gently between subtle typography and organic imagery, guiding visitors naturally through an intuitive digital landscape, reminiscent of a peaceful countryside stroll.

Structured thoughtfully, sections titled “Our Journey,” “Our Way,” and “Road Trips” immerse visitors in personal narratives and sensory explorations. Each click becomes part of a wider conversation, connecting audience to landscape, discovery to sustainability.

The restrained colour palette mirrors nature’s quiet elegance—gentle earth tones that harmonise with honest photography of flowers captured authentically in their natural surroundings. Nothing embellished, everything honest.

More than an aesthetic experience, the website thoughtfully integrates educational resources on ethical foraging—guidelines subtly named "Roadside Rules," empowering responsible engagement with the environment.

The result is not just a website but a quiet invitation: to pause, observe, and cherish the beauty hidden in plain sight.
